ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - AUGUST 2009

I. Educational Activities

1. Temporary Exhibition
1) A special photo exhibition on “Milestones in the Indian Freedom Movement – as seen through Engravings” was organized by the Salar Jung Museum. This exhibition was inaugurated by Smt. Mallu Swarajyam, Freedom Fighter and Former MP, on 13th August, 2009.








2) A special exhibition on “Sri Ganesha – Collection in the Salar Jung Museum” was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on 24th August, 2009. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Mudigonda Sankara Sarma, Veda Shastra Vidwan. The exhibition was followed by cultural programme by the Dept. of Culture, Govt. of A.P.

II. Lectures:

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad jointly organized a special lecture with power point presentation on “Buddhist Pagodas & Antiques of Japan” on 8th August, 2009. Mrs. Anuradha Reddy, Core Committee member of HSH, INTACH, Hyderabad delivered the special lecture.

III.Other Activities:

Independence Day:
The Salar Jung Museum celebrated Independence Day on 15th August, 2009 in the Salar Jung Museum. Dr. A. N. Reddy, Director I/c., Salar Jung Museum unfurled the national flag. All the staff of the Museum and CISF., staff have attended the function.
