ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - DECEMBER 2008

I. Exhibitions

Temporary Exhibitions

On the occasion of Museum Formation Day the Museum organized a Special Exhibition on “Indian Miniatures and Modern paintings” inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice Sri Anil Ramesh Dave, Chief Justice, High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 16th December, 2008.

II. Special Lecture

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad jointly arranged a lecture on “THE SEVEN TOMBS” the History, architectural review and tourism potentials by Mr. Khalid Mohiuddin, Architect on 13th December, 2008.

III. Other Activities

The NEDC (Non-Conventional Energy Development Corporation of A.P. Limited) Hyderabad awarded the first prize for the year 2007-08 to Salar Jung Museum in appreciation of the achievements in Energy Conservation in the Government / Public undertakings / Local Body / Autonomous Body Buildings for the year 2007-08 to the Salar Jung Museum. Dr. A. Nagender Reddy, Director I/c., Salar Jung Museum received the award.
