I. Educational Activities

(i) Temporary Exhibitions

Museum Formation Day

On the occasion of Salar Jung Museum Formation Day (16th December) a special exhibition on “Salar Jung Museum in Dewan Deodi” was organized. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri. Nawab Ahtheram Ali Khan, Hon’ble Member, Salar Jung Museum Board on 16th Dec 2010. Guest of Honour was Sri Syed Zakir Hussain, Hon’ble Board Member, Salar Jung Museum Board.

Christmas

On the occasion of “Christmas”, a special exhibition on "Merry Christmas - The Road to the Holy Land” was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on 22nd December, 2010. This exhibition was inaugurated by Rt.Rev.T.S.Kanaka Prasad, Bishop in Medak, Medak Diocese.

Mohurram

On the occasion of "Moharram" a special exhibition on “Shrines of Martyrs of Karbala” was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on 28th December,2010. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Nawab Ahteram Ali Khan, Hon’ble Member of Salar Jung Museum Board.

(ii) Special Lecture:

Salar Jung Museum in association with Historical Society of Hyderabad has organized a presentation on “History & Harmony of Christian Churches in Andhra Pradesh” on 11th December, 2010. Sri M.John Sunder, Principal, Andhra Pradesh Christian Theological College, Hyderabad, delivered a special lecture on the occasion.

Others:

On the 54th Death Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 06.12.2010, the Salar Jung Museum organized a memorial lecture on “Life History of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, the Father of Indian Constitution”. The lecture was delivered by Sri K.A. Humane, Assistant Chemist & SJM and SC & ST Employees’ Liaison Officer.
