ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - FEBRUARY 2009

I. Exhibitions

Temporary Exhibitions

An Inter State exhibition on Archaeological Monuments of Indian Sufis was organized by the Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with Maulana Azad Arabic Persian Research Institute, Tonk Rajasthan from 18th – 22nd February, 2009. Mr. Subir, IAS, District Collector and Dr. Meena, Superintendent of Police have attended the exhibition as Chief Guests. The exhibition was inaugurated by Film Star Irfan Khan. 40 photographs were displayed in the exhibition which were appreciated by the visitors.

Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with Karnataka Urdu Academy, Bangalore organized an exhibition from 22nd to 26th February, 2009 in which 32 oil paintings drawn by Fine Arts and Free Lance Artists were displayed.

II. Seminar

The Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with Maulana Azad Arabic Persian Research Institute (APRI) Tonk, Rajasthan organized a seminar on 18th February, 2009. Smt. Zakia, MLA, Tonk Rajasthan inaugurated the .

III. Special Lecture

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad jointly organized a special talk by Bhai Esher Singh on “Contribution of Bhagat Namdevji of Narsi Deccan” on 14th February, 2009





Salar Jung Museum has organized a special lecture on “Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization” by Dr.(Mrs) Ulrike Al Khamis, Advisor of Sharjah Museum of Islamic Studies.
