ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - JANUARY 2010

I. Educational Activities:

(i) Temporary Exhibition

A special photo exhibition on “Shrines of Martyrs of Karbala” was organized by the Salar Jung Museum, inaugurated by Nawab Ahtheram Ali Khan, Hon’ble Member of Salar Jung Museum Board on 19th January’ 2010



(ii) Lecture

The Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with the Historical Society of Hyderabad organized a special lecture on “Indian Epigraphy and its Development”. The lecture was delivered by Dr.C.A.Padmanabha Sastri on 9th January, 2010. .

II. Other Activities:

Museum week:

During the Museum week (8th to 14th January, 2010) Rangoli competition was conducted on 12th January, 2010 for the ladies on the occasion of Sankranti. Women participated in the Rangoli competition and prizes were distributed to the winners. All the Indian visitors allowed at 50% discount on entry ticket (20,856 visited the Museum during the Museum week).


Republic Day:

The Salar Jung Museum celebrated 61st Republic day on 26th January’ 2010. The Director I/c. Salar Jung Museum took Guard of Honour by CISF Security Staff.
