ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - MAY, 2008

I. Exhibitions

i) Salar Jung Museum and DAVP jointly organized a photo exhibition on Science and Technology of India on 15th May, 2008. This exhibition was attracted the visitors particularly Students.

ii) A Photo Exhibition on the Developmental works done by the Museum during the tenure of the Director, Salar Jung Museum (Dr. A.K.V.S. Reddy) was arranged on 26th May, 2008.

Summer Art Camp : The Museum is organizing Summer Art since 8 years there is increasing response from the Students and Parents for the Summer Art Camp from year to year. The participants were divided into two groups as Seniors and Juniors. 250 students were registered for the summer art camp during the year Dr. A.K.V.S. Reddy, Director, Salar Jung Museum inaugurated the Summer Art Camp on 1st May, 2008. The children were trained on the subjects Yoga & Pranayama, Drawing & Painting, Molding & Casting, Embroidery & Fabric Painting and SUPW. besides this the lecturers were also arranged to the children. The Summer Art Camp concluded on 25th May, 2008.

II. Special Lecture

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad organized a special lecture on Cultural Informatics – A new dimension. This lecture was delivered by Dr. T.A.V. Murthy, former Registrar & Librarian Institute of English and Foreign Languages, University of Hyderabad 10-05-2008.
