I. Educational Activities

The following Events were organized by the Salar Jung Museum during the month of   NOVEMBER 2013

Temporary Exhibitions

A Painting Exhibition “Looking Beyond” organized on 6th November, 2013, painting works done by Sri K.S. Vass were displayed in the exhibition from 6th to 13th November, 2013. Dr.P.R. Raju and Dr.M.Jayanth eminent artists of twin cities have participated in the exhibition.

An art Exhibition “Meta Matters” organized on 12th November,2013 in association with Kalakriti Art Gallery. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri B. Narsing Rao, Film Producer & Art Critic. Art works done by Sri Manohar Chiluveru were displayed in this exhibition.



The Museum has celebrated “Children’s Week” on the occasion of Cha cha Nehru Birth Day from 14th to 20th November’ 2013. During the period children below 15 years were allowed free entry to the Museum. On this occasion museum organized competitions for Children like Drawing, Elocution and Essay Writing in four languages for both Senior (VIII to Xth Class) and Junior Students (VI to VIIth class). Prizes were distributed to the winners.


An Exhibition entitled “Select Monuments of Hyderabad” was organized on 19th November, 2013 on the occasion of World Heritage Week (19th to 25th November, 2013). Total 90 photographs on different monuments by Srushti Foundation were displayed in the exhibition.



An Exhibition on "Martyrs of Karbala (a.s.)" was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on 26th November,2013 on the occasion of Muharram. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri M.A.Khan (M.P.) Hon’ble Member Rajya Sabha and Nawab Ahteram Ali Khan, Hon'ble Member of Salar Jung Museum Board presided over the function. The exhibition was kept open up to 30th November, 2013.



The Museum organized a Lecture with Power Point presentation on “The Legend of Bhagamati – Fact or Fiction” in association with Historical Society of Hyderabad on 9th November, 2013. The Lecture was delivered by Shri Safiullah, a philanthropist and Hony. Secretary for Numismatic Society of Hyderabad.
