ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - November 2010

I. Educational Activities

1. Temporary Exhibitions

i) On the occasion of “Children’s Week” the Salar Jung Museum organized a Special Photo Exhibition on “Chacha Nehru” from 14th to 20th November’ 2010. Sri G.S. Seetha Rama Raju, Hon’ble Member, Salar Jung Museum Board has inaugurated the Exhibition.

On the occasion of “World Heritage Week (19th to 25th Nov)”, the Salar Jung Museum organized a Special Photo Exhibition on “Virupaksha Temple Complex - Hampi” on 20th November’ 2010 in collaboration with Srusti Foundation.

2. Special Lecture:

Salar Jung Museum in association with Historical Society of Hyderabad has organized a special lecture on “Maha Ramayana – Yoga Vashishta” on 13th November, 2010. Dr. Bhaskar Raj Saxena, delivered a special lecture.

3. Other Events:

a) On the occasion of “World Heritage Week Celebrations”, the Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with INTACH, Hyderabad Screened a Documentary Movies on “Forts of India” from 19th to 25th November’ 2010. A total of 25 movies have been screened.

b) Sri Gulam Nabi Azad Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, visited the Museum on 25th November’ 2010. He has stated that he has visited the Museum 33 years ago and appreciated the development that have been taken place in the Museum for the past 33 years.
