ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - OCTOBER 2008

I. Exhibitions

Temporary Exhibitions
On the occasion of Durgastami, a special festival exhibition was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on “Durga Mata” on Tuesday the 7th October, 2008. Prof. Radha Krishna Sarma, Head, Dept. of Ancient History Art and Archaeology (Retd.) Osmania University and Former Member of the Salar Jung Museum Board inaugurated the festival exhibition. Miniature Paintings, Statues, from the Salar Jung III collection around 69 Art pieces on Durga Mata have been displayed.

II. Special Lecture

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad jointly arranged a special lecture on “FREEDOM STRUGGLE IN HYDERABAD KARNATAKA”. Dr. Aravind Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dravidian University delivered a lecture on 11th October, 2008 in the Salar Jung Museum.
