ACTIVITIES OF SALAR JUNG MUSEUM FOR - OCTOBER 2009

I. Educational Activities

1. Temporary Exhibition
A special exhibition on "Mahatma – Man of the Millennium" was organized by the Salar Jung Museum in collaboration with DAVP on 1st October, 2009. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Bonala Krishna Rao, Freedom Fighter.







On this occasion a musical concert with songs on Bapuji was organized.













2. A special exhibition on "Lights of Happiness" was organized by the Salar Jung Museum on 15th October, 2009. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri G. S. Seetha Rama Raju, Hon’ble Member Salar Jung Museum Board.

On this occasion a dance drama on Narakasura Vadha by the students of Annamacharya Music and Dance college, Hyderabad was organized. Apart from this Students from State Homes Both boys and girls were invited to museum. A drawing competition with theme of Diwali – Light of Happiness was given to the students.



The Salar Jung Museum organized an Inter State exhibition "Glimpses of Sufi Poets" on 6th October, 2009 at Maulana Azad Arabic Persian Research Institute, Tonk Rajasthan. This exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Umrao Salodia, IAS., Principal












II. Lectures:

Salar Jung Museum and Historical Society of Hyderabad jointly organized a special lecture on "Journey to Moon – Chandrayaan I" (Talk as part of United Nation’s World Space Week) on 10th October, 2009. Mr. N. Raghunandan Kumar, Founder and Secretary of Planetary Society delivered the special lecture.
